Hop on our open-top double-decker bus and explore the hidden Albufeira that many visitors never see. This beautiful and historic coastal town has many loveable aspects beyond its famous beaches. Take a journey around the city and enjoy 360-degree panoramic views, hopping on and off at your leisure with this 24-hour or 4-day ticket. Check out Albufeira’s picturesque old town, where you’ll find an abundance of authentic local shops and restaurants along endless cobbled streets.

The main square is a mixture of enchanting old churches and bars, cafés and restaurants. Wander through the tunnel, past the bell tower and the old castle to the fantastic Fisherman’s Beach. One of the most endearing aspects of Albufeira is its array of styles, resulting from a devastating earthquake during the 18th century. Consequently, a large number of local landmarks now display a fusion of architectural styles combined with several centuries- lookout for old Moorish sights dotted around the old town.

Admire the uniquely Portuguese Manueline-style St Sebastian’s Church, the 18th-century St Anne’s Church and the restored Gothic-style Mercy Chapel. The belfry of the parish church is one of the town’s most iconic landmarks and is not to be missed. The tower is topped with an eight-bell carillon and the stairwell stands at an impressive 28 metres high. Visit The Tower of Medronheira which was built in the 1500s and was used to watch the horizon for pirates and invaders, or hop off and admire the impressive statue of St Vincent which commemorates the famous missionary’s eventual martyrdom in Japan.
