Mansions, enormous rose gardens and lots of bridges. Discover the main sites in Portland on this guided tour.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Director Park, a suitable starting point for this guided tour around Portland. We will board a comfortable minibus and begin our journey. This tour reveals the city's best-kept secrets, showcasing the contrast between elegant shops and restaurants and the natural beauty of Forest Park.
We'll stop near the Pittock mansion, a notable house from 1914 with an intriguing history, linked to one of Portland's richest families. Enjoy views of the Willamette River, the mountains, and the city center from this location.
The next stop will be the International Rose Test Gardens, featuring over 10,000 roses. Participants will have ample time to explore this historic garden, established in the early 20th century.
The tour will also cover major neighborhoods in Portland and discuss the history of the various bridges that span the river, including up to 14 viaducts.
After a duration of 3 hours, we will return to the initial meeting point. We look forward to seeing you again!
