Porto Alegre Guided Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet at Praça XV de Novembro to start a walking tour through the historic center of Porto Alegre. During this guided tour, we'll explore the history of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and visit notable sites.

Before beginning our journey, we'll examine the kiosk in the square, one of the oldest buildings in Porto Alegre, built in 1885 and protected as Historical Heritage. We will discuss its various functions and renovations.

Next, we'll visit the public market, immersing ourselves in the daily life of Porto Alegre, and observing many traditional stalls and a variety of Brazilian products.

As we continue, we will admire the exterior of the Municipal Palace, a key monument in the city. Close by, we will visit Esquina Democrática (Democratic Corner), a historical landmark where we'll explore the city’s darker history and mysterious murders.

The tour will conclude at 11:30 am in Praça Alfândega.
