Porto Alegre Guided Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet at Praça XV de Novembro to start a walking tour through the historic center of Porto Alegre. During our guided tour, we'll delve into the history of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and visit some of its most emblematic places.

We'll pause at the kiosk in the square, one of the oldest buildings in Porto Alegre, built in 1885 and protected as Historical Heritage. We'll discuss its various functions and renovations over the years.

Next, we'll visit the public market, where we'll immerse ourselves in the day-to-day life of Porto Alegre. The building dates back to the 19th century and features many traditional stalls with a variety of Brazilian products.

The tour continues as we admire the exterior of the Municipal Palace, a significant monument. Nearby is the Esquina Democrática (Democratic Corner), a historical landmark where we will discuss the city's darker historical events.

The tour ends at 11:30 am in Praça Alfândega.
