12 Day Tour of Tocantins

Day 1: Palmas

Pick up from your hotel or the airport includes lunch or dinner. Stay overnight in Palmas.

Day 2: Palmas - Puente Alto de Tocantins

After breakfast, depart for Puente Alto de Tocantins. Visit Sussuapara Canyon in Jalapao State Park for a swim under a 16-foot waterfall. Enjoy lunch and witness the sunset over Pedra Furada, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Puente Alto de Tocantis - Mateiros

Visit Lajeiro waterfall and Old Falls, followed by a swim at New River beach. Enjoy lunch and a sunset boat ride on the river before heading to Mateiros for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Jalapão Park - Mateiros

Explore fervedouros pools and learn about the natural wells. Enjoy lunch in Quilombo community, followed by a visit to Jalapão dunes. Dinner and overnight in Mateiros.

Day 5: Mateiros - Palmas

Breakfast in Plata, return to Palmas, observing the Cerrado ecoregion. Lunch during the trip, dinner, and overnight stay in Palmas.

Day 6: Palmas

Guided tour of Palmas, visiting Sunflower Square and Coluna Prestes Memorial. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Palmas - Caseara

Breakfast followed by a visit to Cantão Park. Stay at Caseara Inn for dinner.

Day 8: Caseara - Cantão Park

Breakfast and safety presentation for activities in Cantão Park. Choose between hiking, biking, or a boat ride. Lunch and return to Caseara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Caseara - Lagoa da Confusão

Depart for Lagoa da Confusão. Boat trip on Javaés River to Bananal Island for lunch. Photo safari followed by dinner in Lagoa da Confusão.

Day 10: Lagoa da Confusão

Breakfast and tour of Lagoa da Confusão, with visits to churches, boulevards, and a boat journey. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 11: Lagoa da Confusão - Bananal Island - Palmas

Explore three ecoregions: Amazon, Ipucas forests, and Cerrado. Return to Palmas for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Palmas

Breakfast and transfer to Palmas airport to conclude the tour.
