12 Day Tour of Tocantins

Day 1: Palmas

Upon pickup from your hotel or the airport, enjoy a lunch or dinner before checking into the hotel for the night and beginning the tour of Tocantins.

Day 2: Palmas - Puente Alto de Tocantins

After breakfast, depart for Puente Alto de Tocantins, stopping at Sussuapara Canyon for a swim under a waterfall. Enjoy lunch and witness the sunset at Pedra Furada, then return for dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Puente Alto de Tocantins - Mateiros

Visit Lajeiro and Old Falls waterfalls before entering Jalapão State Park. Swim at New River beach, have lunch, and end the day with a sunset boat ride on the river. Dinner and overnight in Mateiros.

Day 4: Jalapão Park - Mateiros

Breakfast followed by a visit to the fervedouros pools and lunch in Quilombo. Conclude the day at Jalapão dunes before returning to Mateiros for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Mateiros - Palmas

Breakfast in Plata, then return to Palmas with lunch en route. Review the Cerrado ecoregion and enjoy dinner at the hotel upon arrival.

Day 6: Palmas

After breakfast, take a guided tour of Palmas, including visits to Sunflower Square and Coluna Prestes Memorial. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7: Palmas - Caseara

Breakfast, then head to Cantão Park for a visit and overnight stay at Caseara Inn with dinner.

Day 8: Caseara - Cantão Park

Enjoy breakfast followed by a safety briefing for activities in Cantão Park: choose between hiking, a bicycle route, or a boat ride. Lunch, return for dinner and overnight in Caseara.

Day 9: Caseara - Lagoa da Confusão

After breakfast, travel to Lagoa da Confusão. Take a boat to Banana Island for lunch, followed by a photo safari. Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Lagoa da Confusão

Breakfast and tour Lagoa da Confusão, visiting churches and enjoying a boat journey. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 11: Lagoa da Confusão - Bananal Island - Palmas

After breakfast, explore the ecoregions and return to the hotel in Palmas for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Palmas

Conclude the tour with breakfast and drop-off at Palmas airport.
