12 Day Tour of Tocantins

Day 1: Palmas

After pick-up from your hotel or the airport, enjoy lunch or dinner before heading to the hotel for the first night of the tour. Explore Palmas.

Day 2: Palmas - Puente Alto de Tocantins

Start with breakfast at the hotel, then head to Puente Alto de Tocantins. First stop: Sussuapara Canyon for a swim under a 16-foot waterfall. Lunch follows at the hotel, then enjoy sunset views over Pedra Furada. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Puente Alto de Tocantis - Mateiros

After breakfast, visit Lajeiro waterfall and Old Falls. Head to Jalapão State Park and swim at the New River beach, enjoy lunch, and take a sunset boat ride. Dinner and overnight at Mateiros.

Day 4: Jalapão Park - Mateiros

After breakfast, visit fervedouros pools in Jalapão State Park and learn about the natural wells. Enjoy lunch in Quilombo, followed by a visit to Jalapão dunes. Return to Mateiros for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Mateiros - Palmas

Breakfast at Plata, then travel back to Palmas, observing the Cerrado ecosystem. Lunch is included, arriving at the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Palmas

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Palmas, visiting Sunflower Square and Coluna Prestes Memorial. Return for dinner.

Day 7: Palmas - Caseara

Breakfast before departing to Cantão Park, visiting park headquarters. Overnight and dinner at Caseara Inn.

Day 8: Caseara - Cantão Park

Breakfast, followed by safety briefing for activities in Cantão Park. Choose between hiking, biking, or boating. Enjoy lunch, return to Caseara for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Caseara - Lagoa da Confusão

After breakfast, travel to Lagoa da Confusão. Boat ride on Javaés River to Bananal Island for lunch. Enjoy a photo safari, spotting local wildlife. Return to Lagoa for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lagoa da Confusão

Breakfast followed by a city tour, visiting churches and squares. Enjoy a boat journey and swimming in the lagoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 11: Lagoa da Confusão - Bananal Island - Palmas

Breakfast, then explore the three ecoregions: Amazon, Ipucas forests, and Cerrado. Return to Palmas for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Palmas

Breakfast before transfer to Palmas airport, concluding the tour.
