Bananal Island and Cantão Park 5 Day Trip

Day 1

Pickup at 8 am from your hotel or Palmas airport. Drive three hours to Caseara for a traditional lunch. Explore the remote Araguaia region and enjoy a boat trip along the Araguaia River to admire the beaches and reach Bananal Island. Dinner and overnight in Caseara.

Day 2

After breakfast, sail into Cantão Park and embark on a 4-mile trek at the lake's mouth. Enjoy lunch and continue exploring the northern zone of the Araguaia River, including a visit to a riverside community near Pará. Return to Caseara for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Early breakfast and set off into Cantão Park to witness dawn landscapes. Route through the park may be by foot or boat, observing various species of exotic birds. Enjoy a boat trip along the channels and lakes in Cantão. Return to Caseara for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, travel nearly three hours to Lagoa da Confusão and board a boat on the lagoon. After lunch at the hotel, embark on a photo safari for exotic species. Return to Lagoa da Confusão for overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast, depart Lagoa da Confusão for Bananal Island, crossing the Javáes River to observe its flora and fauna. Lunch after exploring, then return to Palmas for drop-off at your hotel or airport by around 5:30 pm.
