Day 1

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Palmas at the scheduled time for a remarkable 6-day exploration of Jalapão State Park. Welcome to the energetic capital of Tocantins!

The first stop will be the mesmerizing Taquarussu waterfalls, where you'll have the chance to explore its various breathtaking cascades. After this inspiring visit, savor a delightful lunch at a nearby restaurant. You will also have the option to engage in adventure activities like rappelling or zip-lining during your free time.

As the day winds down, you will enjoy dinner and a peaceful night’s rest at the Taquarussu Hotel.

Day 2

Following a refreshing breakfast, we’ll set forth towards the alluring Jalapão State Park. On our way, we will stop at the beautiful Japanese Lagoon of Puente Alto de Tocantins for a swim in its clear waters before enjoying a delicious lunch.

Next, we’ll head to Puente Alto to check into our hotel before exploring the unique rock formation of Pedra Furada. Make sure to capture these unforgettable moments with your camera! The day wraps up with dinner at the hotel in Puente Alto, followed by a restful night.

Day 3

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Puente Alto de Tocantins and travel to the Rio Nuevo community, an area known for its Afro-descendant heritage. Here, we will delve into their culture, explore their lifestyle, and enjoy a delightful lunch.

Our adventure continues on the tranquil shores of the Nuevo River, with a chance to relax and swim at a small beach. The itinerary also includes visiting the stunning Jalapão dunes and the Espírito Santo mountain range, both representing incredible natural beauty. In the evening, we’ll have dinner and spend the night in Mateiros.

Day 4

After breakfast, we’ll journey to one of the park’s most spectacular features: the famed Fervedouros, natural springs nourished by underground channels, where you can immerse yourself in the breathtaking emerald waters.

After a lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll visit the community of Mumbuca to learn about the art of Golden Grass and possibly take home some unique local crafts. We will then explore the Fervedouro do Encontro das Águas before returning to Mateiros for a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 5

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the Mateiros Hotel, leading into another day of immersive exploration in Jalapão State Park. Our next destination is the Fervedouro Buritizinho, a perfect spot for a refreshing swim amidst a unique confluence of rivers.

Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Ready for more adventures, we’ll continue to the enchanting Fervedouro do Macaúbas, where you can take a dip while enjoying stunning vistas of the São Felix do Tocantins mountain range.

Our day will end at the hotel in São Felix, where you can savor dinner and unwind for the night.

Day 6

On the final day of our adventure, we will share a breakfast together before heading out to explore additional springs or Fervedouros, such as Alecrim and Bela Vista. After lunch, we will wrap up this amazing tour and return to Palmas by approximately 7:30 pm.

If you're short on time, we have convenient tour options that vary in length, each providing a unique and memorable experience in Jalapão State Park. Here's a brief overview of each itinerary:

5-day tour

This itinerary is almost identical to the 6-day tour, with the main difference being that it concludes in Palmas on the afternoon of the fifth day for a shorter experience.

4-day tour

Day 1

On the first day, we will explore the Japonesa Lagoon, visit Piedra Furada, and finish the day at the Alto de Tocantins Bridge.

Day 2

Our focus will be the Rio Novo community, Serra do Espírito Santo, and its dunes, finishing the night in Mateiros.

Day 3

On the third day, we will discover the many natural pools of the State Park, including prominent Fervedouros like Buritis and Buritizinho, and see the Formiga waterfall before settling in São Félix for the night.

Day 4

On the final day, we’ll visit additional Fervedouros, including Bela Vista, explore Alecrim beach, and check out the Cathedral mountain range before heading back to Palmas.

3-day tour

Day 1

This condensed tour starts by exploring the Cathedral mountain range, followed by visits to Fervedouros like Por Enquanto, Bela Vista, or Romero, ending the day in São Félix.

Day 2

The second day is dedicated to the natural pools of Jalapão State Park, particularly Macaubas and Buritizinho. We'll explore the Espírito Santo mountain range and the dunes, finishing the day in Mateiros.

Day 3

After breakfast and a visit to the Formiga waterfall, we’ll check out one last Fervedouro and conclude this incredible tour with a return trip to Palmas.
