Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Porto Seguro and head to Vila de Santo André, where we'll take a boat trip on the João de Tiba River, also known as the Santa Cruz River, located on the border between Bahia and Minas Gerais.
Upon arriving at the embarkation point, we'll board the boat to navigate the João de Tiba River until its confluence with the Mutum River. At this point, the boat engines will be turned off as we pass through a narrow natural tunnel formed by native trees, providing a great photo opportunity.
After crossing this stretch, we'll reach a spot where we can see an orchard with houses built on the banks of the João de Tiba River by local families. We'll disembark to meet the locals and pick seasonal fruits, learning about typical foods and plants used for natural remedies by this native community. We will also hear interesting facts about the history of the river, with an optional opportunity for horseriding.
Finally, we'll return to the boat for the journey back to Santo André and then to your hotel in Porto Seguro, with an arrival scheduled 8 hours after the pickup.
