On this cruise along the Douro, we'll sail between Porto and Pinhão and return to Porto by bus.
1 Day Cruise to Pinhão
The cruise departs from Cais de Estiva dock on the Porto riviera. As we leave Porto, breakfast is served.
We will travel through the Douro Valley, enjoying views of vineyards and wineries, and arrive at the Crestuma-Lever Dam, with a lock that lowers us by 14 metres.
Lunch will consist of a typical Portuguese menu, including water, soft drinks, and wine.
Continuing, we reach the Carrapatelo Dam, with a drop of 35 metres. Snacks and local port wine will be served on board as we pass through Régua, known as "the capital of wine and vineyards."
Next, we will arrive at the Barragem de Bagaúste, which features a 27 metre drop. At around 6 pm, we will arrive at Pinhão and visit the Quinta da Roeda vineyard for a tasting of their best vintages before returning to Porto.
The bus returns to Porto at 9:30 pm.
