Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Rua do Dr Ferreira da Silva de Oporto and head to Amarante, a city known for its artistic, cultural, and architectural value. Amarante is located 60 kilometres (37 miles) from Porto, situated in the Serra do Marão and overlooking the Tâmega River, the longest tributary of the Duero. Upon arriving, the vistas from the city's viewpoint will set the tone for the tour.
We'll stroll through its streets, discovering the picturesque houses lining the riverbanks. Additionally, we'll learn about the community's heroism during the 19th century when Napoleon's troops invaded Portugal.
