On this tour, we'll visit Santiago de Compostela and Valença do Minho, a historic town on the border between Portugal and Spain.

Description

We will pick you up at the San Bento train station and head towards Spain, crossing the Minho region.

Our first stop is Santiago de Compostela, a significant religious center in Spain and an essential pilgrimage site known as the end point of the "Camino de Santiago". We will visit the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, a remarkable structure built in a romantic style, believed to house the remains of St. James the Apostle. Although currently under construction with some areas closed, it remains a key site to see.

You will have free time for lunch and to explore the historic center (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) or shop for souvenirs.

In the afternoon, we will proceed to Valença do Minho, where you will have free time to visit its impressive fortress, which features two towers and is surrounded by a double wall, reflecting 17th and 18th-century military architecture.

We conclude the tour at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.
