Get to know the fertile banks of the Douro on this tour of the areas of Amarante and Pinhão. Discover the landscapes of this wine-producing region.

Description

After meeting at San Bento railway station at the indicated time, the tour heads to Amarante, where we'll explore its historic center and the stone 'St. Peter's Bridge', the symbol of the region.

The next stop will be Galafura, offering views of the valley. For lunch, we'll eat in a traditional restaurant and sample some of the region's finest wines. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements.

Next, we will visit Quinta da Roêda or a similar vineyard/wine cellar, where we'll sample wines and learn about their flavors. The Douro region was the first demarcated wine region in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Before returning, we'll embark on a cruise to explore the Pinhão region from the water. The views from the boat are noteworthy.
