Aveiro & Costa Nova Day Trip

On this day trip to Aveiro & Costa Nova, we'll explore the beautiful coastal town known as the "Venice of Portugal" and visit one of the best beaches in Portugal.

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sao Bento station, where we'll hop on a bus and make our way southwards until we find the beautiful coastal town of Aveiro.

After a 45-minute ride, we'll arrive in Aveiro, where we'll enjoy a short walk through the historic center. It’s likely you'll succumb to the temptation of their local sweet pastries, "Ovos Moles", a light mix of egg yolk and sugar, usually served inside small rice paper cases molded into the shape of a shell or a fish.

Next, we'll take a 45-minute ride aboard one of the traditional "Moliceiros" boats, similar in design to the Venetian gondolas, making the most of a tranquil and unforgettable day.

We'll then leave Aveiro and head towards Costa Nova, one of the best beaches in Portugal. Costa Nova is a favorite place for many people to practice water sports. We'll stop briefly to admire the scenery and to take impressive pictures of the brightly painted houses.

Finally, we'll return to Porto to finish the tour at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after 4 hours of sightseeing.

Itinerary Adjustments

Occasionally, the itinerary may change order, visiting first Costa Nova and then Aveiro.

Tour without Boat Trip

If you prefer to have more time to explore the center of Aveiro at your own pace, during the booking process you can also select the option of a tour without boat trip, it's up to you!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will meet at Sao Bento station for the start of the trip. The bus will take you south to reach Aveiro, where you'll enjoy a walk through the historic center and taste the local pastries. The boat trip will allow you to experience the canals of the city.
