Fátima and Coímbra Day Trip

Discover Portugal's main place of pilgrimage, Fátima, and get to know the beautiful town of Coimbra on this day trip.

Day Trip Details

After meeting at San Bento railway station, we will travel south for 200 km to reach Fátima.

There, we will explore the phenomenon of the apparition of the Virgin Mary, who appeared to three shepherd children in 1917. In Fátima, we will visit three key sites: the Sanctuary, the Basilica, and the Chapel of the Apparitions.

After our visit, you will have free time to have lunch, explore the city, or relax with a coffee.

The next stop is Coimbra, the fourth largest town in Portugal, where we will visit the University (one of the oldest in continuous operation), the Old Cathedral (built in the 12th century), and walk through the historic centre.

Finally, we will conclude the trip at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after approximately 9 hours.
