Fátima and Coímbra Day Trip

Discover Portugal's main place of pilgrimage, Fátima, and get to know the beautiful town of Coimbra on this day trip.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at Calçada da Vandoma and travel south to Fátima, located 200 km from Porto.

In Fátima, we will explore the sites related to the apparition of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917, key events in Portugal and the Catholic world. The visit will include the Sanctuary, the Basilica, and the Chapel of the Apparitions.

After the visit, there will be free time for refreshments, a stroll through the city, or relaxing with a coffee.

The next stop is Coimbra, the fourth largest town in Portugal. We will visit the University (one of the oldest in continuous operation globally), the Old Cathedral (12th century with Arab influences), and pass through the historic centre.

We will conclude the tour at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.
