Full-day historic and wine-growing tour in the Duero (1 winery, lunch and cruise)

This tour underlines the historical importance of the Valle del Duero, as well as the birthplace of viticulture as a key element of Portuguese heritage.
We will move to this place, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, where the green and golden tones intertwine with the river, providing some of the most impressive landscapes you can contemplate.
We will begin in Amarante where you will have the opportunity to visit your convent and church, enjoy the bridge that crosses the River Thames or explore its picturesque historic center.
Our route will take us to the amazing Reviewer of São Leonardo da Galafura, where, from a height of 640 meters, you can admire the river Duero and its impressive surroundings.
After this stop, we will taste a typical lunch with the best of regional cuisine. Then we will head to Pinhão, one of the pearls of the Duero, where we will board on a panoramic cruise of 45 minutes by the river, enjoying the natural views and vineyards that border the water.
We closed the day visiting a winery (such as Quinta da Roêda – Grupo Croft/Taylor’s or Quinta de São Luiz – Grupo Kopke/Calém). Here you can taste three excellent local wines and learn about the rich tradition and the process of creating Porto wine. When you return to Porto, you can continue to delight in the stunning landscapes that trace the connection between the Duero and the city.
