In this guided visit to Porto, we'll pass through the historic center, getting to know its most special nooks and discovering why it's a UNESCO world heritage site.
Description
After meeting at the San Bento train station, we'll start the walking tour that will take us to the most emblematic places of Porto. We'll visit the stately San Bento Train Station, famous for its impressive tiles that narrate the history of Portugal. Then, we'll continue to the imposing Sé Cathedral, located in the historic district of Batalha.
Next, we'll board the bus for a panoramic tour of the main sights of the city center. We'll pass by the bustling Bolhão Market, the heart of traditional Porto; the imposing Porto City Hall, located on the emblematic Avenida dos Aliados; and the iconic Clérigos Tower, the tallest in Portugal. We'll also admire the famous Lello Bookshop, one of the most beautiful in the world, and end this part of the tour in the picturesque area of Ribeira, on the banks of the Douro River.
Having visited the main points of interest in the city we make our way to Vila Nova da Gaia, and try some of the famous Port wine in one of its best-known vineyards to conclude this visit.
