Guimarães & Braga Day Trip

On this day trip, we'll visit Guimarães and Braga, exploring the culture and natural beauty in northern Portugal. Discover one of the most important religious cities, known as the "Cradle of Portugal".

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the indicated time on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira and head to the historic city of Braga, a must-see destination in Portugal.

In Braga, we'll visit the interior of the Sé de Braga and the Santuario do Bom Jesus. Then, we'll take a guided tour of the historic center, seeing the exterior of the Episcopal Palace and walking through the picturesque streets of the old town.

After enjoying some free time for shopping or exploration, we'll travel to Guimarães. We'll visit the impressive Medieval castle and explore the historic center, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortified towers of the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza will be visible throughout the city, and we'll note the influence of 14th-century French palaces on its architecture during our visit to its exterior.

We'll conclude the tour after approximately 9 hours, saying goodbye at Rua de Alexandre Herculano.
