Guimarães & Braga Day Trip

On this day trip, we'll visit Guimarães and Braga, exploring the culture and beauty in northern Portugal. Discover one of the most significant religious cities, known as the "Cradle of Portugal".

Day Trip Details

After meeting at the specified time at Calçada da Vandoma, we will travel to the historic city of Braga. Upon arrival, we'll visit the interior of the Sé de Braga and the Santuario do Bom Jesus. Subsequently, we will embark on a guided tour of the historic center of Braga, seeing the exterior of the Episcopal Palace and strolling through its picturesque old town.

After enjoying some free time for exploration and shopping, we will proceed to Guimarães. Here, we will visit the imposing Medieval castle and explore the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortified towers of the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza will be noted from the skyline, and we will observe the influence of 14th-century French palaces in the architecture. The day will conclude at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after approximately 9 hours.
