On this day trip, we'll visit Guimarães and Braga, immersing ourselves in the culture and beauty of northern Portugal. Discover one of the most significant religious cities globally, often referred to as the "Cradle of Portugal".

Day Trip Details

After meeting at the specified time at Calçada da Vandoma, we’ll journey to the historic city of Braga, a destination brimming with charm and a must-see during any visit to Portugal.

Upon arrival, we'll explore the interior of the Sé de Braga and the Santuario do Bom Jesus. We’ll then descend into the city for a guided tour through the historic center of Braga. On this tour, iconic monuments such as the Episcopal Palace will be visible, and we'll stroll through the picturesque streets of its beautiful old town.

After enjoying some free time to explore and possibly do some shopping, we’ll make our way to Guimarães. Here, we’ll visit the impressive Medieval castle and discover the charming historic center, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From any viewpoint in the city, the fortified towers of the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza rise prominently in the skyline. As we tour its exterior, we’ll observe the influence of 14th-century French palaces on the architecture.

We'll conclude our day at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.

For those preferring a more exclusive experience, the VIP option includes pickup from your hotel in Porto. Following the same itinerary as the standard tour, you will travel in small groups of no more than 8 people.
