Peneda-Gerês National Park Day Trip

Discover one of Portugal's greatest natural jewels with this day trip to the Peneda-Gerês National Park from Porto. You'll explore its streams, waterfalls, forests and much more while admiring the impressive views.

Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Porto at 9 am and depart for a 1-hour drive to the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Upon arrival, we'll explore this significant location, established in 1971 as the only National Park in the country.

We will visit a natural area recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve in 2009. The tour includes a visit to the Tahiti Waterfall along the Arado River, where there will be an opportunity to swim. We'll also stop at the Pedra Bela viewpoint to enjoy views of the Gerés Valley and the Caniçada reservoir.

Lunch will consist of a delicious picnic surrounded by nature before we conclude our trip and drop you off at your hotel at 6 pm.

Activity Pickup

If you're staying outside of Porto, please proceed to the Statue of Vímara Peres on Calçada de Vandoma for pickup.

The itinerary may change during June, July, and August due to park crowds, which may affect the visit to the Tahiti Waterfall.
