Details of the Day Trip
Your adventure will begin with a pickup from your hotel in Porto at the scheduled time, followed by a scenic one-hour drive to Peneda-Gerês National Park. Excitement awaits!
Upon reaching the park, you’ll understand why this extraordinary site is regarded as one of the top destinations in Northern Portugal. Established in 1971, it's recognized as the only National Park in the nation, which is truly remarkable!
During our visit to this natural haven, recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve in 2009, we will also venture to the renowned Tahiti Waterfall on the Arado River, where you’ll have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim. Additionally, a stop at the Pedra Bela viewpoint will offer incredible panoramas of the Gerés Valley and the Caniçada reservoir.
Before concluding our visit to Peneda-Gerês National Park, you’ll savor a delightful picnic lunch immersed in the serene Portuguese landscape.
This enriching day trip will wrap up with a return to your hotel, approximately 9 hours after we first set off.
Pickup Information
If you are lodging outside Porto, please meet us at the Statue of Vímara Peres located on Calçada de Vandoma, where we will commence the tour.
Potential Itinerary Adjustments
During the peak summer months of June, July, and August, the itinerary may experience modifications due to high visitor levels in the park. Consequently, it’s possible that access to the Tahiti Waterfall might not be included in the trip during this time.
