Peneda-Gerês National Park Day Trip

Discover one of Portugal's greatest natural jewels with this day trip to the Peneda-Gerês National Park from Porto. You'll explore its streams, waterfalls, forests and much more while admiring the impressive views.

Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Porto at 9 am and depart for a 1-hour drive to the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

Upon arrival, we'll explore this significant site, which was established in 1971 as Portugal's only National Park. This location was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 2009.

The tour includes a visit to the famous Tahiti Waterfall at the Arado River, where you'll have the opportunity to swim. We'll also stop at the Pedra Bela viewpoint for views of the Gerés Valley and the Caniçada reservoir.

Before departing, a delicious picnic lunch will be served in the natural surroundings of Portugal. The trip concludes with a drop-off at your hotel by 6 pm.

Activity Pickup

If you're staying outside of Porto, please meet at the Statue of Vímara Peres on Calçada de Vandoma for pickup.

The itinerary may change in June, July, and August due to park crowding, which may affect the visit to the Tahiti Waterfall during these months.
