Private Day Trips from Porto

Upon booking, you can select one of the following private day trips from Porto. They last between 9 and 10 hours and include hotel pickup, minibus transport, an English-speaking guide, and lunch.

Braga & Guimaraes Day Trip (9 hours)

After a 50-minute journey, we'll arrive in Braga, a city over 2000 years old. The tour includes a walk through Suoto, the Santa Barbara Garden, and a visit to the Cathedral, the oldest in the country, followed by the Bom Jesus du Monte Sanctuary. A traditional lunch will include a starter, soup, a main dish, a drink, dessert, and coffee. The tour continues to Guimaraes, where we'll explore the castle, San Miguel Chapel, and the Duques de Braganza Palace.

Duoro Region Day Trip (9.5 hours)

We will depart from Porto to the Duoro region, visiting the first winery for a Porto wine tasting. A traditional Rabelo boat ride through the Duoro River follows. Afterward, we will drive to the village of Pinhao for lunch at a wine farm with a similar menu as the Braga tour. The day concludes with a visit to a second winery and wine tasting.

Coimbra & Aveiro Day Trip (10 hours)

We will drive to Coimbra to visit its historic university and the old town, touring the Old Cathedral, New Cathedral, Monastery of Santa Cruz, and the Gothic Abbey of Santa Cruz. Following this, we'll have lunch and then head to Aveiro for a 45-minute ride on a moliceiro boat, observing the canals and striped facades.
