Ribeira and Porto Medieval Walking Tour

We'll meet our English-speaking guide at 10 am in front of Porto Cathedral. Its construction began in 1110 and is in the Romanesque architectural style, typical of the Middle Ages. We'll begin our tour by visiting its interior and marveling at its architecture.

Then, we'll explore the Pena Ventosa, a small, narrow, and colourful maze of streets. After this, we'll come across Sao João street. The guide will explain its history during the visit.

We'll then head to the Ribeira district, known for its colourful houses. Throughout the tour, the specialised guide will provide information about the medieval period of Porto.

The guided tour in medieval Porto will end after a 2-hour walk, in the Praça do Infante, which pays homage to Henry the Navigator, responsible for the great discoveries of the New World.
