Day Trip Details
We will pick you up at Calçada da Vandoma in the morning and depart from Porto to cross the Minho region into Spain.
The first stop will be Santiago de Compostela, the most significant religious center in Spain and a main location for pilgrims on the "Camino de Santiago." We will visit the cathedral, known for its romantic style and claimed to contain the remains of St. James the Apostle, though access may be limited due to ongoing construction. It remains an essential site in the city.
After visiting the cathedral, you will have free time for lunch and to explore the historic center (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) or shop for souvenirs.
In the afternoon, we will proceed to Valença do Minho, where you will have free time to visit its impressive fortress, characterized by two towers and a double wall, showcasing 17th and 18th-century military architecture.
We will conclude the trip at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after 9 hours in total.
