On this day trip, we'll visit Santiago de Compostela and Valença do Minho, a historic town on the border between Portugal and Spain.
Day Trip Details
We will pick you up at Calçada da Vandoma in the morning and leave Porto to cross the Minho region into Spain.
The first stop will be Santiago de Compostela, known as the end point of the "Camino de Santiago". We'll visit the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, notable for its romantic architecture and believed to house the remains of St. James the Apostle. Although currently under construction with some areas closed, it remains a significant site to see.
Following the visit to the cathedral, you'll have free time for lunch and to explore the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or to purchase souvenirs.
In the afternoon, we'll depart Santiago and head to Valença do Minho. Here, you'll have free time to explore the impressive fortress, characterized by two towers and double walls, exemplifying 17th and 18th-century military architecture.
The trip concludes at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.
