Beautiful landscapes and a passionate history feature on this free tour of Vila Nova de Gaia, a beautiful town separated by Porto and the Duero River. You'll remember it forever!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet under the Vímara Peres statue. From this point in the center of Porto, we'll walk towards the Don Luis I Bridge to cross over to the other side of the Duero River, where we'll begin an interesting free tour of Vila Nova de Gaia. This riverbank town will leave you stunned!

After arriving at this picturesque location, we'll stop in front of the Serra do Pilar Monastery. After learning about its history, we'll make our way to Jardim do Morro for one of the most beautiful views of Porto. This park has a remarkable viewpoint overlooking the banks of the Duero River.

We'll continue by exploring the wine-producing history of Vila Nova de Gaia. The following stop will be at the Santa Marina Parish Church. Next to this church, we'll also see the Beira-Rio Market and the Gaia cable cart station.

Next, we'll see the popular urban mural titled Half Rabbit by artist Bordalo II, an iconic piece in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Finally, after a tour lasting 2 hours, we'll end by visiting the Corpus Christi Monastery, dating back to the 17th century, located near the banks of the Duero River.
