Diving in Portobelo

Embark on an underwater adventure in the north coast of Panama, discovering colorful reefs and encountering exotic tropical fish in the Caribbean waters of Portobelo.

Scuba Diving Adventure for Experienced Divers

Our diving activity will begin at the Scuba Portobelo dock, where we'll equip ourselves with the necessary gear for an immersive experience.

Ready and geared up, we'll set sail on a boat to explore various dive sites. Depending on weather and sea conditions, our stops may include Drake, Buenaventura, Salmedina, El Faro, Padre Island, Tres Hermanas, Huertas, Parche Point, or El Avion—each a brief 10-minute trip from the departure dock.

Two dives in total await us, with depth depending on the experience level of the group and current weather conditions. At our first dive location, you'll witness the beauty of coral reefs. The underwater landscapes of Portobelo, renowned for their biodiversity, will leave you in awe.

Following the initial dive, we sail to the second point to encounter diverse species native to the Panamanian Caribbean, including rays, lionfish, French angels, moray eels, and butterfly fish.

Concluding our underwater adventure, we'll return to the starting dock, marking the end of this 2-hour diving activity.

Requirements

To participate in this activity, you must have an Open Water Diving certificate or similar.
