Jesuit Ruins Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Posadas to head to the International Train Station in Argentina. Here, we will board a train to cross the Paraná River to the Paraguayan town of Encarnación. A vehicle will be waiting for us at this station to take us to the ancient ruins of the Jesuit Missionary of La Santísima Trinidad del Paraná.
At this World Heritage Site, we will enjoy a guided tour to learn about its architecture. We'll view the remains of its square and the Iglesia Mayor church, discussing the legacy of the Jesuits in this area of South America.
After La Santísima Trinidad del Paraná, we will head north to visit the ruins of the Missionary of Jesús de Tavarangüé. Here, we will explore the work of the missionaries in the Guarani lands during the 17th and 18th centuries.
At the end of the guided tour, you can have lunch at your own expense in the town of Jesús de Tavarangüé. In the afternoon, we'll meet back in the center of the town to return to Encarnación, where we will catch a return train to Argentina. Once at Posadas station again, we'll take you back to your hotel, arriving around 12 hours after the initial pickup.
