During this excursion, we will journey to Paraguay from Posadas to explore the renowned Jesuit Ruins of La Santísima Trinidad del Paraná and Jesús de Tavarangüé.

Jesuit Ruins Tour

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Posadas and make our way to the International Train Station located in this Argentine town.

From there, we will board a train that will take us across the Paraná River into the Paraguayan town of Encarnación. Upon our arrival at the station, a vehicle will be ready to transport us to the historic site of the Jesuit Mission of La Santísima Trinidad del Paraná.

At this World Heritage Site, you will partake in a guided tour, allowing you to appreciate its baroque architectural style. We'll explore the remnants of the town square and the Iglesia Mayor church. Throughout the visit, we'll shed light on the legacy the Jesuits established in this region of South America.

Following our time at La Santísima Trinidad del Paraná, we will continue our journey northward to the site of the Mission of Jesús de Tavarangüé. This location, also designated as a World Heritage Site, offers insights into the efforts of the missionaries in Guarani territories during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Upon concluding the guided experience, you will have the option to enjoy lunch at your own expense in the town of Jesús de Tavarangüe.

In the afternoon, we will reconvene in the town's center for our return to Encarnación, where we will board a train back to Argentina. Once we arrive at the Posadas station again, we will take you back to your hotel, approximately 12 hours after the initial pickup.
