Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip

The best way to understand the events of Pompeii in August of the year 79 AD is to visit Mount Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for the town's destruction. Observing the crater will reveal the devastation it caused, resulting in over a thousand people and an entire town buried alive.

After pickup from your hotel in Positano, you will begin your trip to Pompeii. Upon arriving at the archaeological site, an expert guide will highlight the typical houses, workshops, and kitchens preserved under volcanic ash. Experience the fascinating details of ancient life, including wooden objects and bodies frozen in time.

Your journey continues towards Mount Vesuvius, where you will learn about the myth of the legendary hero Hercules. As you climb to the summit, observe traces of lava from recent eruptions. At the peak, enjoy panoramic views over the Gulf of Naples.

By 4.30 pm, you will be returned to your hotel in Positano.
