Melgarejo Trail Hike

After picking you up from your hotel in Potosí at 8 am, we'll head to the beginning of the Melgarejo trail to start our hike.

During the seven-hour hike, we will follow the footsteps of Bolivian politician Mariano Melgarejo and learn about his history, including his order to construct this road due to his fear of an ancient curse.

We will traverse the mountains to enjoy a panoramic view of Potosí and the Cerro Rico, which once housed significant silver reserves. The route includes a visit to the Portaretrato Cave and a stop for a picnic.

Afterwards, the hike will continue as we explore local plants and wildlife, including cacti. We will return you to your hotels by around 4 pm.
