Melgarejo Trail Hike
After picking you up from your hotel in Potosí at 8 am, we will head to the starting point of the Melgarejo trail to begin our hike.
During the seven-hour hike, we will trace the steps of the renowned Bolivian politician Mariano Melgarejo, who commissioned the construction of this trail. We will explore the mountains to enjoy a panoramic view of Potosí and Cerro Rico, known for housing one of the largest silver reserves globally. The route includes a visit to the Portaretrato Cave and a break for a picnic.
Afterward, we will continue hiking, observing local plants and wildlife such as various cacti. We aim to return you to your hotels by around 4 pm.
