National Mint of Bolivia Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet at the Villa Imperial in Potosí. From this central location, we'll walk to the Plaza del 10 de Noviembre square, where we'll find the National Mint of Bolivia.

This building, founded in 1572 as the Royal Mint of Potosi, was where coins were manufactured during the Spanish colonial period. It was here where one of the biggest scams in history took place. We'll discover more while walking through the different rooms of the museum.

Afterwards, we'll visit Francisco Gómez de la Rocha's house. He was the architect of the coin counterfeiting scam.

Once we've explored the history of Rocha and the "rochunas", we'll walk around the city to admire other places of interest including the Santo Domingo church, San Martín church, and the convent of Santa Teresa, among others.

The tour will conclude with a return to the starting point.
