San Francisco Monastery Guided Tour

At your chosen time, we'll meet on Calle Ayacucho and walk to the nearby Monastery of San Francisco.

This convent, built in 1548, reflects colonial times when the wealth from Potosí's silver mines allowed the construction of significant religious buildings.

The complex includes a church with tiled domes, a bell tower, monks' residences, and a crypt under the main altar.

We'll visit the temple where monks pray and admire the high altar before exploring the various rooms of the monastery, observing paintings related to the Franciscan order.

Next, we'll proceed to the catacombs, where remains of numerous individuals are interred.

Our 1-hour tour will conclude as we say our farewells at the monastery's exit.
