Tour Details
We'll meet at Via Carlo Rosini, 21 at the designated time to begin our guided tour of Pozzuoli.
The tour starts with a walk to Villa Avellino, a park with remnants of ancient Roman cisterns, highlighting the city's hydraulic and architectural significance during the imperial era.
Next, we will go to the San Guiseppe slope and descend to the Macellum, known as the Temple of Serapis, which exemplifies Bradyseism in the area.
After this, we will visit the fishermen's dock and the Via Napoli seafront promenade, historically important as the initial landing point for the Greeks in Pozzuoli.
Finally, we will ascend to the Rione Terra rock to explore the neighborhood's history, including the evacuation on March 2, 1970, due to Bradyseism risks, and its recent renovation.
The tour concludes after a 2-hour walking experience, returning to our meeting point for farewells.
