Discover Prague's imperial history on this tour through Hrad?any and Malá Strana areas, including Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and more!
Description
We will meet at The Estates Theatre (Stavovské divadlo) at the designated time. The tour begins with a classic tram ride to the Strahov Monastery, where we will explore the courtyard and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, enjoying views of Prague. A private entrance ticket will allow us to visit the Strahov Monastery Library.
Next, we will visit the Castle Citadel Square and the Renaissance Schwarzenberg Palace. Following this, we will enter Prague Castle, the largest medieval castle, and see the Stenberg Palace, Archbishop's Palace, and Courtyards I, II, and III. We will tour the St. Vitus Cathedral, learning about its stained glass and architecture.
We will take a photo pause to capture views of the Cathedral's Golden Gate and its mosaic of the Last Judgement, along with the presidential office. Our visit concludes at the Romanesque Basilica of St. George, the oldest church within Prague Castle. We will then walk through the Malá Strana district, passing by St. Nicholas Church.
Our tour continues to the John Lennon Wall, a symbol of resistance during the communist era, followed by a visit to Kampa Island and Little Venice. After 3.5 hours, we will finish by walking across the Charles Bridge over the Vltava river, the longest medieval bridge in the world.
