Day Trip Details
The tour meets at the Powder Tower and departs from Prague at 8:30 am heading northwest towards Karlovy Vary. The first stop will be at a viewpoint to take in views of the spa town before visiting its curative waters.
The tour includes visits to the impressive geysers creating a 14-metre tall fountain of water, the notable colonnades, and sampling the spa waters from various fountains. Other highlights are the headquarters of the Knights of the Maltese Cross and Mozart's house.
Your expert local guide will provide insights into the history of Karlovy Vary, including the affection Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV had for the town and its development from the first resort built in the 18th century to its present-day significance. The town is also known for Moser glassware, which you can explore during your 30 minutes of free time.
The tour concludes with a return to Prague, arriving back at approximately 6 pm.
