Karlovy Vary Day Trip

Get to know the jewel of West Bohemia, Karlovy Vary, the spa town known globally for the thermal baths scattered around the city. As well as its spas, Karlovy Vary is also famous for its International Film Festival, Moser glassware, and the Becherovka herbal liquor.

Day Trip Details

The tour meets at the Powder Tower and leaves the center of Prague at 8:30 am heading northwest towards Karlovy Vary. The first stop is at a viewpoint to take in the views of the spa town before sampling its curative waters.

The tour includes visiting the impressive geysers that create a 14-metre tall fountain of water, the famous colonnades, and tasting the spa waters from various fountains. You will also see the headquarters of the Knights of the Maltese Cross and Mozart's house.

Your expert local guide will provide insights into the history of the area, including the affection Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV had for the town and the establishment of the first resort in the 18th century. You will have 30 minutes of free time to explore the renowned Moser glassware.

The tour concludes with a return to Prague, arriving at the initial meeting point around 6 pm.
