At the designated time, we will gather at Hrad?anské nám?stí 2 (in front of the Schwarzenberg palace), ensuring we avoid the morning traffic as we take a brief ride to the castle. Thanks to our skip-the-line access, we can begin our journey promptly and delve into the most significant complex in the city!

No visit to Prague is complete without experiencing its castle. This tour guides you through the world's largest ancient castle complex, starting with the breathtaking St. Vitus Cathedral. This exceptional Gothic masterpiece contains the final resting places of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors.

Next, we move to the historic Royal Palace, where you'll uncover the intriguing stories of the "defenestrations" – literal throwings out of windows that ignited the Thirty Years' War across Europe.

Following our time at St. George’s Basilica, one of the few remaining Romanesque churches in the city, we will proceed to Golden Lane. This area has been inhabited by alchemists, goldsmiths, and various artisans throughout the centuries, including the famous writer Franz Kafka.

Finally, after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, our exploration of this crucial landmark in Prague will come to a close.

Temporary Closure of the Old Royal Palace

Between September 4 and October 1, 2026 (inclusive), the old Royal Palace will be under renovation due to the exhibition of the Czech Crown Jewels:

September 4-17: The Old Royal Palace will be entirely closed. Consequently, guided tours will explore the Royal Garden instead.September 18-28: The Old Royal Palace will welcome visitors as a new exhibition space for the crown jewels, allowing us to follow the standard itinerary.September 29-October 1: The Old Royal Palace will be closed again, and the tour will shift to the Royal Garden.

The overall duration of the tour and the entrance fee will remain unchanged. Other attractions within the complex, including St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane, will stay open for regular visitations.
