If you're passionate about nature, you can't miss this hiking route through the Malacara canyon. We'll walk through a lush riverside forest and visit a huge natural pool. Are you up for discovering the surroundings of Praia Grande?

Malacara Canyon Hiking Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Praia Grande at your chosen time and drive to the natural area where the Malacara Canyon begins.

Upon arrival at the gorge, we'll embark on a 4-kilometre (2.4 miles) hiking trail of moderate difficulty. The first stage will take us through a riverside forest, and we will cross several rivers along the way.

As we continue through the Malacara canyon, we will learn about its geological origins. We will stop at various viewpoints to appreciate the rocks and minerals and discover the endemic flora and fauna of this ecosystem.

The next stop will be at a natural pool, measuring between 3 metres deep and 20 metres in diameter (9.8 and 65 feet). Depending on the weather conditions, you'll have between 30 minutes and an hour for a refreshing dip.

After the natural pool, we will walk back to the starting point of the hiking route, where the vehicle will be waiting to return you to Praia Grande. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for three to four hours after pickup.
