Malacara Canyon Hiking Tour

We'll pick you up at the time of your choice at your hotel in Praia Grande and drive to the natural area where the Malacara Canyon begins. Are you ready to explore one of the most amazing gorges of Santa Catarina?

Upon arrival at the gorge, we'll embark on a 4-kilometre (2.4 miles) hiking trail of moderate difficulty. The first stage will take us through a beautiful riverside forest and require crossing several rivers.

We'll continue through the Malacara canyon, discussing the geological origins of this gorge. Stops at various viewpoints will allow us to appreciate the rocks and minerals, as well as discover endemic flora and fauna.

The next stop will be at an impressive natural pool with a depth of 3 metres and a diameter of 20 metres (9.8 and 65 feet). Depending on the weather, you will have between 30 minutes and an hour for a refreshing dip in this lagoon.

From the natural pool, we'll walk back to the starting point where the vehicle will take us back to Praia Grande. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for three to four hours after pickup.
