Assomada Day Trip

We'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Praia, and travel to the heart of Santiago Island. The first stop will be in São Domingos for breakfast, featuring corn pancakes and a glass of punch.

Next, we'll visit the São Domingos Eco Centre to learn about local animals and plants. Afterward, we'll continue our journey, passing through the towns of San Lorenzo de los Órganos and Picos.

Upon arrival at Assomada, we will head to the Cruz de Picos viewpoint for views of the Valle de Fonte. We will also explore the Assomada central square, the Norberto Tavares Cultural Centre, and the Municipal Market to experience daily life in the town.

A traditional fish lunch will follow at a local restaurant, and we will visit the Poilao reservoir to see the oldest tree in Cape Verde. The age of the tree will be revealed during the tour.

We will return you to your hotels, concluding the excursion around 5 pm.
