Assomada Day Trip

We'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Praia to begin the tour to Santiago Island's heart. The first stop will be in São Domingos for breakfast, featuring corn pancakes and a glass of punch.

Next, we'll visit the São Domingos Eco Centre to learn about local flora and fauna. Afterward, we'll continue to the towns of San Lorenzo de los Órganos and Picos.

Upon arrival at Assomada, we will visit the Cruz de Picos viewpoint for views of the Valle de Fonte. The itinerary includes a walk through Assomada central square, a visit to the Norberto Tavares Cultural Centre, and the Municipal Market to experience local daily life.

A traditional fish lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant before we proceed to the Poilao reservoir, where you can see the oldest tree in Cape Verde. The age of the tree will be revealed during the tour.

The excursion concludes with your return to the hotels around 5 pm.
