Assomada Day Trip
Pickup is at 9 am from your hotel in Praia. The tour begins with a stop in São Domingos for breakfast, featuring corn pancakes and a glass of punch.
Next, visit the São Domingos Eco Centre to learn about local flora and fauna. Afterward, the journey continues through the towns of San Lorenzo de los Órganos and Picos.
Upon arrival in Assomada, head to the Cruz de Picos viewpoint for panoramic views of the Valle de Fonte. The tour includes a visit to the Assomada central square, Norberto Tavares Cultural Centre, and the Municipal Market to experience local life.
A traditional fish lunch will be served at a local restaurant, followed by a stop at the Poilao reservoir to see the oldest tree in Cape Verde. The age of the tree is revealed during the tour.
The excursion concludes with a return to your hotel around 5 pm.
