Assomada Day Trip

We'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Praia, then depart to the heart of Santiago Island. Our first stop is São Domingos for breakfast, featuring corn pancakes and a glass of punch.

Next, we will visit the São Domingos Eco Centre to learn about local wildlife and plants. Afterward, we will pass through the towns of San Lorenzo de los Órganos and Picos.

Upon arrival in Assomada, we will head to the Cruz de Picos viewpoint for stunning views of the Valle de Fonte. We will also explore the Assomada central square, the Norberto Tavares Cultural Centre, and the Municipal Market to experience everyday life in the town.

Following the cultural immersion, a traditional fish lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will stop at the Poilao reservoir to view the oldest tree in Cape Verde, with its age revealed during the tour.

Finally, we will return to your hotel, concluding the excursion around 5 pm.
