Assomada Day Trip

We'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Praia and travel to the heart of Santiago Island. We will stop in São Domingos for breakfast, which includes corn pancakes and a glass of punch.

Next, we will visit the São Domingos Eco Centre to explore local animals and plants. Following this, we will pass through the towns of San Lorenzo de los Órganos and Picos.

Upon arrival in Assomada, we will proceed to the Cruz de Picos viewpoint for views of the Valle de Fonte. We will also visit the Assomada central square, the Norberto Tavares Cultural Centre, and the Municipal Market to experience local life.

A traditional fish lunch will be served at a local restaurant. We will then stop at the Poilao reservoir to see the oldest tree in Cape Verde, with its age revealed during the tour.

We will return you to your hotels, concluding the excursion around 5 pm.
