Cidade Velha Day Trip

Pickup will occur at around 9 am from your accommodation in Praia for a trip to Cidade Velha, the first Portuguese city in Africa. You will visit the San Felipe Fort, situated 120 meters above sea level, constructed for protection against pirate attacks, including one by Francis Drake.

In the city center, you can see the ruins of the cathedral, which dates back to the 16th century. The tour continues to the main square, once the site of the slave market, where the Pelourinho is located, known for public executions.

Additionally, you will explore the emblematic Banana street, featuring distinctive houses and the fifteenth-century church of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, consisting of grilled fish, dessert, and coffee. Following lunch, you will return to Praia, where you will be accompanied back to your hotel, arriving at around 3:30 pm.
