Picked up at 5:30 am from your hotel in Praia, you will head to the Santiago Island port, where you must present your ferry ticket to access Maio Island. After a 2-hour ferry crossing, arrive at Porto Inglês dock in the south of Maio Island.

The tour begins with a visit to the salt mines interpretation center to explore the significance of the salt trade in the island's development. We will then travel through the towns of Morro, Calheta, and Morrinho, appreciating local crafts and landscapes, including the notable dunes of Morrinho.

The next destination is Pedro Vaz, where a typical Cape Verdean lunch featuring local specialties will be served. Following lunch, visit Vila do Maio, the island's capital, to see the San José fortress and the church of Our Lady of Light.

The tour concludes with a stop at Bitchirotcha Beach, the most popular beach in Maio. From there, return to Porto Inglês dock for the ferry back to Santiago. After disembarking, you will be transported back to your hotel in Praia, arriving around 7:30 pm.
