Santiago Island Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia at 9 am and head inland into Santiago island. We'll pass through Picos, stopping to try locally made grogue, a white rum made from cane sugar. You'll see the Pico de Antonia, the tallest mountain on the island.
In Assomada, we'll explore its market, filled with fruit, vegetables, and fresh fish. Then, we will cross the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park on our way to Tarrafal.
In Tarrafal, known for its beautiful beaches, we will also learn about its history as a site of a concentration camp during the Second World War at the Museum of the Resistance.
Lunch will be at a restaurant in Tarrafal, featuring fried fish, stuffed tuna or grouper, vegetables, salad, water, and coffee, all with stunning views of the Atlantic.
We will return to Praia via scenic bays and secluded beaches, arriving back at your accommodation by 5 pm, completing an unforgettable day in Santiago.
