São Vicente Island Day Trip

At 5 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Praia and take you to Santiago Island Airport. You'll take a flight to São Vicente Island, arriving in 1 hour.

Upon landing, we'll pick you up at the terminal for a tour of São Vicente Island, the second most populated island in the Cape Verde archipelago. The tour begins in Mindelo, where we'll visit the main church, the municipal market, and the birthplace of singer Cesária Évora. We will also go to Fortim do Rei to see Belem Tower and learn about its connection to the twin tower in Lisbon.

After exploring Mindelo, we'll visit the Praia da Bote market, known for fresh fish typically caught off Salamansa, our next stop. Then, we'll proceed to Gatas Bay to view its sand dunes.

Next, we'll visit Monte Verde Natural Park, noted for its volcanic tuff rock formations. After this, we will return to Mindelo, allowing 30 minutes for lunch next to Laginha Beach.

We'll then take you to São Vicente Airport for your return flight. After landing back on Santiago Island, we'll pick you up from the terminal and drop you at your hotel in Praia. Our estimated arrival time is 6 pm.

Flights between Praia and São Vicente

You need to reserve your flight from RAI (Praia Airport) at 7 am, arriving at VXE (São Vicente Airport) at 7:55 am. The return flight departs from VXE at 4 pm, arriving at RAI at 4:55 pm. Both routes are offered by Binter.
