São Vicente Island Day Trip

At 5 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Praia, followed by transportation to Santiago Island Airport for a flight to São Vicente Island, arriving after 1 hour.

Upon landing, a pickup at the terminal will commence a tour of São Vicente Island, the second most populated island in the Cape Verde archipelago. The tour begins in Mindelo, where visits include the main church, the municipal market, and the birthplace of singer Cesária Évora. The Fortim do Rei will also be visited to view the Belem Tower and learn about its connection to the twin tower in Lisbon.

Next, proceed to the Praia da Bote market known for fresh fish caught off the coast of Salamansa, followed by Gatas Bay for views of its sand dunes.

The tour continues at Monte Verde Natural Park, notable for its 'volcanic tuffs'. After the scenic exploration, return to Mindelo for a 30-minute lunch near Laginha Beach.

Post-lunch, transport to São Vicente Airport will be provided for your return flight. You'll land back on Santiago Island, where pickup will be arranged to return you to your hotel in Praia with an estimated arrival time of 6 pm.

Flights between Praia and São Vicente

Reserve your own flight from RAI (Praia Airport) at 7 am arriving at VXE (São Vicente Airport) at 7:55 am. The return flight departs from VXE at 4 pm arriving at RAI at 4:55 pm. Both routes are operated by Binter.
