Serra de Malagueta Hike
We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your accommodation in Praia and then travel to the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park, an hour away. You will have views of the volcanic Fogo island.
Over the course of three hours, we'll hike through the national park, exploring its greenery and the Main river, before reaching our first stop, Gongon. In Gongon, the village inhabitants will share their ancient traditions of Santiago Island.
We will continue our hike, exploring the Serra de Malagueta until we arrive at Espinho Branco, where you will enjoy views of the sea. Here you'll meet the rabelados, a religious community living in isolation since 1942, and learn about their lifestyle.
At the end of the hike, a picnic lunch will be provided, including sandwiches, water, juice, fruit, and dessert. Following the meal, we will head back to Praia by bus and conclude the excursion with a return to your hotel after five hours of activity.
