Serra de Malagueta Hike
We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your accommodation in Praia and then travel to the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park, located an hour away. You will see the volcanic Fogo island during the hike.
Over the course of three hours, we will hike through the national park, experiencing its greenery. We will visit the Main river and our first stop will be Gongon, where villagers will share ancient traditions of Santiago Island that are still practiced today.
Continuing our hike in nature, we will explore Serra de Malagueta until reaching Espinho Branco, where you will have views of the sea. Here, you will meet the rabelados, a religious community living in isolation since 1942, and learn about their reasons for this lifestyle.
At the end of the hike, a picnic lunch will be provided, including sandwiches, water, juice, fruit, and dessert. We will then return to Praia by bus, concluding the excursion after five hours of activity.
