Sail Along the Ambracian Gulf
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Eleftheriou Venizelou Street in Preveza to begin this boat trip around the Gulf of Arta. We'll spend the day in the waters of the Ionian Sea, discovering the historical and environmental importance of this area of northwest Greece.
As we sail, we'll share various facts about the Ambracian Gulf, also known as the Gulf of Arta or Actium Gulf. It is almost completely closed, with a narrow passage of 700 meters (2,296 feet) that connects it to the sea.
We'll continue out to sea in search of dolphins, particularly the bottlenose dolphin, known to approach boats for viewing. You will have the opportunity to take pictures of these animals.
After our encounter with the dolphins, we'll stop for a refreshing swim and enjoy a delicious lunch on board, which includes fish or shellfish, with a potato and tomato salad, along with drinks such as water, juice, beer, or wine.
After 4 to 5 hours of cruising in the Ambracian Gulf, we'll return to the meeting point.
