Prignano Cilento Tour

In this guided tour of Prignano Cilento, we'll discover its main monuments and taste the famous white fig of Cilento, a local specialty!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the City Hall of Prignano Cilento, where the mayor will welcome us to this town in the Campania region.

First, in Piazza Municipio, we'll see the contemporary art monument Canne, by Elio Rumma. Then, we'll walk through the medieval streets of Prignano Cilento, noting its religious architecture.

We'll walk along the Cuesta di San Giuseppe, passing under its arches and doorways, and see a medieval well and the chapel of San Giuseppe.

Next, we'll arrive at the Tempone, one of the entrance gates to the historic center. In the center, we'll visit an artisan factory of Cilento white figs, where we'll tour the facilities and garden, and taste the Monnato white fig.

The tour continues outside the Palazzo Marchesale Cardone and the church of San Nicola. The tour will conclude with a lunch featuring two courses and a drink, accompanied by views of the Amalfi Coast.

We will return to the meeting point 6 hours after the start of the tour.
