At the designated time, we'll begin this free tour of Providencia at the Plaza Felipe Dawes, next to the Manuel Montt metro station exit. Are you ready to explore one of the most bohemian neighborhoods in Santiago de Chile?
First, we'll pass by Bar Liguria, an iconic restaurant specializing in Chilean music. Then, we'll head to Pequeña Providencia, a picturesque neighborhood within the district declared a Zona de Conservación Histórica (Historical Conservation Area). You'll enjoy its lively atmosphere of bars and restaurants.
Our next stop will be at the Iglesia de la Divina Providencia, a beautiful Neo-Renaissance style church from the late 19th century. After learning about its history, we'll visit the William Noon architectural complex, designated as a Zona Típica. We'll also stroll along Calle Keller, one of Providencia's hidden gems.
We'll continue our walk in another Zona Típica, the Población de la Caja del Seguro Obrero neighborhood, known for its classic architecture. Nearby, we'll find the Embassy of Italy in Santiago, a notable building in Providencia.
