Discover the lush forests and enchanting lagoons in one of Araucanía's natural areas on our Huerquehue National Park Hike. We'll spend the day walking among breathtaking scenery on this activity.
Huerquehue National Park Hike
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Huerquehue National Park, a protected area in the Chilean region of Araucanía.
We'll begin our hike by exploring the forests in the park, notable for its thousand-year-old monkey-puzzle trees, which thrive in this region. As we stroll among the trees, we'll learn about the conditions that allow this botanical species to flourish in South America.
The park is also known for its lakes. During our hiking route, we'll visit the Tinquilco, Verde, Toro, and Chico lakes, admiring the greenery that surrounds them.
As we continue walking, we'll discover other plants, such as coigüe and lenga trees, and learn about the wildlife in the park, including Darwin's frogs and pudus, the smallest deer species.
After the hike, we'll return to the starting point and then make our way back to Pucón, with scheduled arrival at 1 pm.
