Huerquehue National Park Hike

We'll meet at your hotel in Pucón at 8 am and travel together to the Huerquehue National Park, a stunning natural reserve located in the Chilean region of Araucanía.

Your adventure will commence as we delve into the park’s forests, where you will be surrounded by the majestic monkey-puzzle trees, which are one of the area's unique natural wonders. As we navigate through this ancient grove, you'll gain insights into what enables this species, which thrives abundantly in South America, to flourish.

Huerquehue National Park is renowned not only for its iconic Araucaria trees but also for its stunning lakes. During our hike, we will visit the picturesque Tinquilco, Verde, Toro, and Chico lakes, surrounded by vibrant natural beauty.

As we progress along the trail, we’ll encounter a variety of other flora, including coigüe and lenga trees. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the diverse wildlife in the park, which includes fascinating species like Darwin's frogs and the incredibly small pudus, the tiniest deer in existence.

Upon completing this remarkable hike, we will return to our initial meeting point before heading back to Pucón, with an expected return time around 1 pm.
