Huerquehue National Park Hike

At 8 am we will pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Huerquehue National Park, a protected area in the Chilean region of Araucanía. We will begin our hike by exploring the forests in the park, focusing on the thousand-year-old monkey-puzzle trees, a significant natural treasure. As we walk, we will learn about the conditions that support this species, abundant in South America.

The park is well-known for its Araucaria forests and its lakes. Our hiking route includes visits to the Tinquilco, Verde, Toro, and Chico lakes, where we will appreciate the surrounding lush greenery. We will also encounter plants such as coigüe and lenga trees and learn about the wildlife, including Darwin's frogs and pudus, the smallest deer species.

After the hike, we will return to the start of our route and head back to Pucón, with an expected arrival time of 1 pm.
