Delve into the culture and traditions of Pucón's Mapuche community. You'll learn about their customs, rites & dances and even play one of their ancestral sports.

Mapuche Culture Tour

At 2 pm, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pucón and drive to the outskirts of the city, visiting a local Mapuche community near the Villarrica Volcano. During the community tour, we'll explore rucas, where families will share their worldview and discuss their main customs, dances, rites, and religious ceremonies.

Participants can engage in activities such as toasting wheat and spinning wool. You may also try on traditional Mapuche garments; women wear a ñaña dress, while men typically wear a huentro.

We will organize games of palín and chueca, two Mapuche sports, and provide insights into their history. After the tour, we'll return to your hotel in Pucón, arriving at 6 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in central Pucón. For those staying in more remote areas, pickup will be at Calle Pedro de Valdivia, 375.
