Delve into the culture and traditions of Pucón's Mapuche community. You'll learn about their customs, rites & dances and even play one of their ancestral sports.

Mapuche Culture Tour

At 2 pm, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pucón and drive to the outskirts of the city, where we'll visit a local Mapuche community near the Villarrica Volcano.

During the tour, we'll explore several rucas, or traditional houses, where families will share insights about their worldview, including their customs, dances, rites, and religious ceremonies.

Participants can engage in activities such as toasting wheat and spinning wool, and there will be an opportunity to try on traditional Mapuche clothing. Women typically wear a dress called a ñaña, while men wear a huentro.

We will also organize games of palín and chueca, two traditional Mapuche sports, along with their historical context.

After the tour, we will return to your hotel in Pucón by 6 pm.

This activity includes pickup from hotels in central Pucón. For those in remote areas, the pickup is available at Calle Pedro de Valdivia, 375.
