Climb to the top of the Villarrica volcano on this hiking route and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains located in this area of Chile.

Villarrica Volcano Hike

At 6 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pucón and drive to the base of the famous Villarrica Volcano.

Upon arrival at the foothills, we'll take a chairlift to an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level. From there, we'll begin a hiking route to the summit at 2,847 meters above sea level.

The ascent will be of medium-high difficulty and will last 4 to 5 hours. During the hike, we will see the Villarrica crater, which measures around 200 meters in diameter and is continuously emitting smoke.

From the summit, views will include the surrounding peaks such as the Lanín and Quetrupillán volcanoes, as well as the Villarica and Calafquén lakes. On clear days, green valleys bordering these lakes can also be admired.

We will have a stop for a picnic lunch to enjoy the panoramic views.

Finally, we will take the chairlift back to the base of the volcano and return to your hotel in Pucón by 6 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in the center of Pucón. For those in more remote areas, pickup will be at Calle Pedro de Valdivia, 375.
