Cross the border into Argentina on this trip to Aconcagua Park. You will discover the highest mountain in the Americas and the mystical Laguna del Inca lake. Are you ready for a real adventure?

Aconcagua Park Trip

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and head north from Santiago. After approximately 50 minutes of driving, we will stop at the monument to the Chacabuco victory, providing free time for breakfast.

We continue to the Salto del Soldado, a large ravine where the torrential Aconcagua river flows. Legend states that a patriot soldier escaped persecution by jumping over this canyon.

Next, we cross the border into Argentina and pause for a traditional drink and an empanada, a dessert of caramel sandwiched between shortbread biscuits and covered in coconut.

We then arrive at Aconcagua Park, where we will embark on a two-hour trek around the base of the highest mountain in the Americas, over 22,000 feet tall. The route offers impressive views of the mountain's landscape.

Afterward, you will have free time to eat and regain strength. Our return to Santiago includes a stop at Laguna del Inca lake in Portillo. Local folklore suggests that the lake was formed by the tears of an Inca prince mourning his bride, with laments said to be heard on dark winter nights.

The tour concludes in the late afternoon when we drop you off at your hotel.
