Follow in the footsteps of Pablo Neruda and be seduced by the deep blue Pacific ocean crashing against the rocky coastline of Isla Negra. Besides visiting the famous poet's house, we will also discover a traditional village with a rich artisan heritage.

Isla Negra and Pomaire Trip

After collecting you from your hotel at 8 am, we will head to Isla Negra, a stretch of idyllic coastline in central Chile.

Pablo Neruda owned three homes in Chile, with Isla Negra being his favorite. We will visit this house, designed to resemble a boat, showcasing nautical memorabilia such as figureheads, sailboat replicas, tiny model boats in ancient bottles, seashells, and whale teeth, all linked to the poet's work.

After learning about Neruda's final residence, we will proceed to see the graves of the poet and his muse, Matilde Urrutia, located on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

On the return to Santiago, we will stop in Pomaire, a town known for its artisan pottery. You will learn about this clay art form and admire the region's red-toned ceramics, with some free time to eat at local restaurants.

Lastly, we will visit Viña Undurraga, a historic winery where we will taste their wine, crafted for over 130 years.

After a full day exploring Isla Negra and Pomaire, we will return to Santiago, arriving back at your hotel around 4 pm.
