Lose yourself in the magic of the Andes mountains on this day trip to the Portillo ski resort and the Laguna del Inca.

Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north via the Los Libertadores highway. Along the way, we’ll stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas, and continue our ascent into the Andes, reaching a viewpoint for the Salto del Soldado Canyon. If possible, we may spot condors soaring nearby.

We’ll then drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the Los Caracoles pass to arrive at the Laguna del Inca, near the Argentine border. Here, we’ll enjoy a 40-minute visit to the lagoon, accompanied by a delicious empanada snack.

Our final stop will be the Portillo ski resort, renowned for snow sports and home to South America's oldest ski hotel. Before returning to Santiago, we’ll visit the San Esteban Winery for a wine tasting in the Aconcagua Valley. Total tour duration is approximately 10 hours.
