Lose yourself in the captivating magic of the Andes mountains on this day trip to the Portillo ski resort and the mythical Laguna del Inca.

Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north on the Los Libertadores highway.

We’ll make a brief stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas, before continuing to a viewpoint of the Salto del Soldado Canyon, a site related to a significant moment in Chile’s history. There is a chance to spot condors.

We’ll drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the winding Los Caracoles pass to reach the Laguna del Inca, near the Argentine border. After a 40-minute visit, including a snack of empanadas, we’ll proceed to the Portillo ski resort, known for snow sports and for housing the oldest ski hotel in South America.

Before returning, we’ll visit the San Esteban Winery for an exploration of the Aconcagua Valley and a wine tasting. The full tour lasts about 10 hours.
