4-day PADI Open Water Course
The course takes place over 4 consecutive days:
Day 1
Meet at the dive centre in Calle Igancio Hernandez for an introductory theory class covering safety rules underwater.
Day 2
Familiarize yourself with diving equipment: wetsuit, flippers, goggles, snorkel, oxygen tank, etc. You'll have your first practical diving lesson in the pool and continue theory lessons.
Day 3
Meet at the dive centre to complete two dives in confined water, gaining necessary knowledge for diving at sea. Conclude with a final theory lesson.
Day 4
Prepare equipment and head to the coast of San Cristóbal for two open water dives, descending to 18 metres (59 feet). Finally, take an exam for your PADI Open Water Diver certificate.
Experts Course
If you are not a beginner diver, consider the expert course, also lasting four days with five adventure dives. Two are compulsory: Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, while the rest are from seven options. You will receive a temporary PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification card, allowing you to dive to 30 metres (98 feet).
