4-day PADI Open Water Course

The PADI Open Water Diver course on San Cristobal Island takes place over 4 consecutive days:

Day 1

Meet at the dive centre in Calle Igancio Hernandez for an introductory theory class focusing on safety rules to be followed underwater.

Day 2

Familiarize yourself with the diving equipment. Learn to wear your wetsuit, flippers, goggles, snorkel, oxygen tank, and other necessary equipment. You will also have your first practical diving lesson in the pool and continue with theory lessons on diving techniques.

Day 3

Meet at the dive centre to complete two dives in confined water. This practice provides the knowledge necessary for sea diving. A final theory lesson will conclude the training.

Day 4

Prepare equipment and head to the coast of San Cristóbal for two open water dives, descending to 18 metres (59 feet). Finally, take an exam to receive your PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Experts Course

If you are not a beginner diver, consider the expert course. This course lasts four days and includes five adventure dives, with two compulsory dives: Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. You can choose the remaining dives from seven options. Upon completion, you'll receive a temporary PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification card, allowing you to dive to 30 metres (98 feet).
