On this night snorkeling tour we'll enjoy a unique experience as we explore the waters of Darwin Bay under the moonlight.

Night Snorkeling on San Cristóbal Island

At 6:30 pm, we'll meet on Ignacio Hernandez Street in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to prepare with snorkeling equipment, including a short wetsuit, flippers, and a mask.

Once equipped, at 7 pm we'll depart for the Aquarium I and Zarpe wharf to board a speedboat and begin the night snorkeling tour in Darwin Bay, located on the northwest coast of San Cristóbal Island.

Upon arrival, we'll have a short introductory technical briefing and prepare underwater torches. We will snorkel at night in Darwin Bay, observing various marine species such as fish, lobsters, prawns, reef sharks, sea lions, sea turtles, starfish, and sea urchins. We will also see plankton, which are mainly microscopic organisms visible to depths of 200 meters (656 feet).

For a brief period, we'll switch off our flashlights to observe the plankton in absolute darkness. The waters will glow with these microorganisms. It is possible to see sea lions swimming close by.

The night snorkeling will last approximately two hours, after which we'll return to the boat for a hot drink and a small snack.

Finally, we will return to the departure pier, scheduled to arrive at 9:30 pm.
