Admire the incredible night sky in a unique location on our Teide Stargazing Tour. We'll set off from North Tenerife and take a guided tour of the Teide Observatory and gaze at numerous constellations.

Teide Stargazing Tour from North Tenerife

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in North Tenerife and proceed to the Teide National Park. Our first stop will be at the Teide Observatory, which has operated since 1964. We will take a guided tour of its facilities to learn about its modern technology.

During the observatory tour, we will discuss why Tenerife is a prime location for stargazing and explore how astrophysicists conduct their research here. We will also view the sun through the center's telescopes.

As the sun sets behind Mount Teide, we will admire the transition from day to night. Following this, we will arrive at the base station of the Teide cable car for a 30-minute break with a picnic meal consisting of a sausage and cheese sandwich, a sweet treat, and a bottle of water or soft drink.

You’ll then have 1 hour 15 minutes to observe the night sky using long-range telescopes to spot various constellations and learn about the North Star and its links to Greek mythology.

We will conclude by dropping you off back at the starting point after a total of 8 hours.

You can opt for the tour option without food and bring your own meal.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from central points in Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, and Santa Úrsula. A full list of pickup locations will be available when booking. We will inform you of the exact pickup time based on your location and the sunset time on that day.
